Meet BRUTUS.
BRUTUS is a carefully engineered overdrive pedal built around a highly responsive soft-clipping architecture. BRUTUS lets the clipping stages progressively come alive as you play harder.
From the first edge of breakup, BRUTUS moves into Bluesbreaker territory — open, touch-sensitive and transparent, letting your tone shine through. Push the gain further and it takes on a Klon-ish mid-forward voice, adding body, presence and harmonic bite. Keep pushing and BRUTUS gets tighter and more compressed, edging into TS territory with a punchy, focused attack.
And then there's the artwork.
Every BRUTUS enclosure features one-of-a-kind industrial stencil artwork, giving the pedal the look of a piece of battered workshop equipment that somehow found its way onto your pedalboard. No generic graphics. No polished corporate finish. Just raw industrial character, built by hand in the TONCAT workshop.
Controls
Gain — Variable preamp gain with up to +20 dB of gain, allowing you to compensate for lower-output pickups or push the clipping stages harder.
Bass — Active bass EQ with both boost and cut.
Middle — Independent active midrange EQ with both boost and cut.
Treble — Active treble EQ with both boost and cut.
Volume — Master output level for matching your bypassed signal or pushing your amplifier.
