Cat au Fenêtre Delay
// Série Atelier No.001
In Cat au Fenêtre, artist B.Lu Studio invites us into a quiet moment of observation. Perched by an open window, a solitary cat gazes beyond the interior world into a landscape alive with colour, light, and possibility. The scene evokes both stillness and curiosity — a recurring tension found throughout Lu's work, where ordinary moments become portals to imagination.
Rendered in an expressive visual language inspired by modernist painting, the artwork celebrates the act of looking. The window functions as both a frame and a threshold, separating the familiar from the unknown while encouraging contemplation of what lies beyond.
The work's placement on a delay pedal introduces a second layer of meaning. Just as a delay circuit repeats and extends a musical phrase, the cat's gaze extends beyond the immediate moment. Sound becomes memory. A fleeting note becomes an echo. A passing thought becomes a daydream.
Created as the inaugural release in Tonecat's Série Atelier collection, Cat au Fenêtre explores the pedal not merely as a musical device, but as an artifact — an object where craftsmanship, storytelling, visual art, and sound converge.
La Floraison Distortion
// Série Atelier No.002
Inspired by the fleeting nature of beauty, La Floraison depicts a cat surrounded by an abundance of blooming roses. Created by artist B.Lu Studio, the work explores the moment where beauty reaches its fullest expression — vibrant, captivating, and inevitably temporary.
Rich colour and layered forms create a sense of movement and growth, mirroring the way distortion expands and transforms a signal. Like a flower in bloom, the artwork celebrates intensity, emotion, and the beauty found in impermanence.
At the heart of La Floraison is a distortion circuit inspired by the iconic DS-1 and enhanced with the celebrated Seeing Eye modification.
The result is greater clarity, improved note definition, and richer harmonic character while retaining the energy and attitude that made the original circuit a classic. From articulate crunch to saturated lead tones, La Floraison delivers expressive distortion that remains responsive to your touch and playing dynamics.
